Hiking Saff Medallions

From: James Dillon (n0kwa@charter.net) | Date: 2006-05-11 02:04:51 UTC
I am looking for a show of hands. I am about to do another order for
medallions. How many people are interested in getting them? I think
we can keep the price at $3.35 each, including shipping. After I have
a rough idea how many people want them, I will let you know how to
place the orders. Email me at n0kwa@charter.net.

Also please note that is a "zero" n the address.

Thanks,

Jim Dillon

Medallions are made to be nailed onto a wooden hiking staff and
sometimes are sometimes painted with a nice enamel design.

They remind me of the time way back when I would buy a patch for each
state visited and folks would have them sewn onto their puffy goose
down vests..LOL.

The ones I see in parks are usually a little curved to fit a pole but
it looks like this one is flat, all are around an inch square and some
have a couple nail holes.

While I have a nice staff I made last week, I'm still using the
right ski pole I bought as a pair for $2.93 at the Salvation Army store
as I like to stick the point into the ground when I need two free hands.

We get hiking medallions every year from our local parks for hiking a certain amount. if we pick it up it is curved, but if they have to mail it, it is mailed flat for postal reasons.
so, since these are being mailed out, they are probably going to be flat.
